Atiamuri Bridge Replacement

A series of structural fatigue failures means this steel bridge near Tokoroa needs replacing.

NZTA adopted the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) model for the work, and because of our previous experience with ECI projects, Resolve was engaged as Principal’s Advisor to NZTA.

Our role was to ensure that the overall objective of a timely bridge replacement within this relatively new delivery model was achieved.

As well as co-ordinating the ECI process, we were also part of the procurement process, participated in design and project control group meetings and reviewed documentation. 

We are also carrying out the role of Engineer’s Representative for both the Specimen Design and Construction phases.

Construction for the bridge is scheduled to begin in 2011.
