Project DART - New Lynn Rail Station

The New Lynn section of Auckland's rail upgrade, Project DART, is the biggest individual ONTRACK rail project undertaken to date. The rail tracks running through the town centre will be rebuilt in a trench, and duplicated to allow better, quicker train services.

The rail corridor will be lowered by seven metres to allow trains to pass under road and pedestrian bridges that will remain at existing levels.

A new rail station will be built as part of an integrated town centre and transport interchange development in partnership with Waitakere City Council and Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA).

Resolve Group staff are undertaking the role of Engineer to the Contract and although this is based on a traditional contract form, we are working in a collaborative design-construct environment with ONTRACK and Fletcher Construction.

Main construction began in October 2008 and is due for completion mid-2010.
